Summer Season

Even though it is technically already summer, It is until recently that I actually felt the warm of summer. Nevertheless I welcomed my favourite season with open arms!!!

I am not sure is the hair colour is quite right for the illustration but nevertheless I happy with it. I'm a big fan of 'suits', I used yellow/gold, I usually don't like gold, but I am feeling the blink-blink.

When I finished this piece I realized that it remind me of the tiles I used to have in my old house. I used some  scrap paper I found with text on it which, I think was the charm.

I designed this handbag a little while ago, and I thought it was the right piece to post for my come back to the blogging world. Once again I am going to try to be consistence.

I watch this movie so long ago but I clearly remember the movie. I just recently found the name of the film, it is so beatifically made and the performance is spotless from  my point of view. I hope to buy this movie one day.

Trench coat girl

Since I have decided to shared my girls illustrations with the world outside my dinning table, I might as well included this one. I am a little obsessed with shoes and legs,  I wanted to experiment more with the silhouette of those two, and so it came to be the trench coat girl.  I know that those shoes are probably destroying her back at this very moment. Nevertheless is just an illustration and everything is possible in the world of illustration. enjoy

Behind the scenes video of the world's smallest film - Nokia UK

- The World's Smallest Stop Motion Animation-

This animation blew my mind away the amount of detail that it has is unbelievable. The most impressive how smooth the animation is, and it is only 9mm. The running sequence is so soft for the lack of a better word. Meanwhile the concept fits perfectly for NOKIA N8, which is know for it camera quality. once again well done, great idea from Wieden+Kennedy and spotless production from Aardman Animations and direction from Sumo Science.

movie of the week

I finally watched "Sweet Rain." The movie is about this grim reaper(Takeshi Kaneshiro)  and a series jobs that he has to preform in which he decides whether a person lives or dies. First of all I'm a big fan of grim reapers in general, second Takeshi Kaneshiro is the lead, what could go wrong with those two. I think it is the first time I see him playing a roll that it is not lovesick or super serious either. Even though it is raining throughput the movie and the subject matter is life vs. death the movie shows a fresh and humorous approach to the death business. 

DUREX FUNNY COMMERCIAL

I personally love this ad, I think is one of my all times favourite TV spot. It is such a simple idea, which always makes the best ads out there (Agency:Fitzgerald+Co, Atlanta) and it has a spotless execution by Superfad.

I had a chance to watch "Exit Through the Gift Shop" this past week and it was such as interesting and unexpected movie that it blew my mind away. The fact that the documentary had a final twist was remarkable. I highly recommended the movie, especially if you are an artist or a creative person. It talks a lot about the authenticity of one's work as an artist. Anyways the movie was AWESOME.
